Randall S. Newton, a veteran journalist with 20 years of experience in the CAD
industry, is the owner and Editor-In-Chief of AECnews.com. The online journal
was founded as A-E-C Automation Newsletter in 1977 by Ed Forrest, and was
published until 2004 as a subscription-based newsletter. It became an
advertising-supported, Web-based journal on June 1, 2004. Previous owners of
AECnews.com have been Cyon Research, David E. Weisberg, and Carl Howk.
AECnews.com is the oldest journal devoted to AEC technology still in d
istribution.
